Toute la surface est trait\u00e9e avec un fin \u00e9mail noir, miraculeusement intact dans les moindres d\u00e9tails. La raret\u00e9 de ce type d'objet r\u00e9side avant tout dans l'\u00e9tat de conservation du rev\u00eatement ext\u00e9rieur : dans ce cas pr\u00e9cis, il s'agit d'une pi\u00e8ce de qualit\u00e9 mus\u00e9ale. Le cadran s'ouvre comme un hublot au centre du bo\u00eetier : il est compos\u00e9 d'un disque m\u00e9tallique avec des aiguilles des heures et des minutes ouvertes. Sur le verre plastique bomb\u00e9 situ\u00e9 en dessous, un rep\u00e8re rouge permet de lire les minutes avec pr\u00e9cision.
