Ce mod\u00e8le est sorti au milieu des ann\u00e9es 1940, bien que Movado ait d\u00e9pos\u00e9 la marque quelques ann\u00e9es plus t\u00f4t. La \"Tempomatic\" est n\u00e9e en m\u00eame temps que la production du premier calibre automatique de Movado, le mouvement 220\/221, en 1945. Le cadran est clair et a conserv\u00e9 intacte sa belle couleur caramel d'origine. Sa surface pr\u00e9sente les \u00e9tonnants chiffres Breguet, dont les contours en or sont assortis au couvercle du bo\u00eetier en or jaune. Les aiguilles sont en forme de crayon et en or, \u00e0 l'exception de l'aiguille des secondes courantes, qui est argent\u00e9e et se termine par une fl\u00e8che rouge. Ce cadran exceptionnel, \u00e0 l'esth\u00e9tique intemporelle, est log\u00e9 dans un bo\u00eetier \u00e9tanche en acier recouvert d'or et sign\u00e9 par Taubert (FB*). Ses lignes sont imm\u00e9diatement reconnaissables, avec ses cornes \u00e0 facettes tr\u00e8s ac\u00e9r\u00e9es et sa couronne \u00e0 la forme particuli\u00e8re que les collectionneurs appellent \"chapeau de pr\u00eatre\". Le fond de bo\u00eetier d\u00e9cagonal viss\u00e9 renferme le pr\u00e9cieux calibre Movado 220 \u00e0 remontage automatique. Il s'agit de la premi\u00e8re tentative (r\u00e9ussie) de produire leur premier mouvement \u00e0 remontage automatique en utilisant le syst\u00e8me \"bumper\" (ou marteau) dans les usines Movado et a vu le jour en 1945. Ce mouvement abandonne la base de temps unique typique de la pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente production \u00e0 remontage manuel pour en reformuler une toute nouvelle, dans laquelle la partie automatique est comme un module s\u00e9par\u00e9 et ind\u00e9pendant (ce qui est typique de Movado).
