ANALYSIS
This beautiful watch fully represents the taste of the 70s already mature at its beginning.
It is built with an elliptical case in 925 silver integrated with a “chain” bracelet of extraordinary refinement
The dial is white with radial Roman numerals that adapt to the shape of the case. At the center of the dial at 12 o’clock is the beautiful signature in italics L.U. Chopard Geneve (the acronym L.U. means Louis Ulysse). The hands are in the shape of a very narrow pencil.
The bracelet that embraces the case of the watch is designed to recall plant and natural elements: leaves, tree branches, streams of water, stones rounded by the wind and the flow of rivers. This morphology connects well with the ovoid shape of the splendid case signed internally L.U.C. as was the practice for those years. The closure is of the “vice” type, with an element that connects the two ends.
The machine is the Felsa 4130 with manual winding and finished on the surface with Cote de Geneve.
This beautiful object has a German inscription on the back that refers to the victory of the mixed men-women team kayak world championship held in Merano in 1971: this watch celebrates the gold medal in the specialty won by the Austrian athlete Hanneliese Spitz, who together with her colleague Helmut Ramelov, descended the white rapids faster than anyone else, winning the prestigious world title.
An object that is not only beautiful but also has significant emotional value.
