ANALYSIS
Iconic. There are no other words to describe this watch. That rectangular case has literally turned the world of classic watchmaking upside down.
The dial is lacquered in white, has Roman numerals to indicate the hours and the internal minute track frame. The Cartier signature is located in the center of the dial at 12 o’clock and features the typical pointed “A” of the first generation of the iconic model. The hands are shaped like classic swords.
The case is in solid 18K yellow gold measuring 29.8mm x 22.4mm, and is characterized by the geometric rectangular shape of the upper part, which is anchored to the case back by four screws. At 3 o’clock there is the splendid flat crown in the shape of an eight-sided dice, on its top there is the sapphire cabochon in the shape of a wide and cracked dome.
The strap is in original leather and is signed Cartier Parts, The original deployant clasp is also solid 18K yellow.
