The Gruen Watch Company was formerly one of the largest watch manufacturers in the United States. It was in business from about 1894 to 1972 and was based in Cincinnati, Ohio.

This case was used on the Zodiac Super Sea Wolf, Blancpain Fifty Fathoms,Juvenia, Royce, Edox, Luxor dive watches (among others) from the same era. The steel case is very robust, with screw-down winding crown and unidirectional perspex bezel, and is 15 mm thick including the scratch free mineral glass crystal.
