The significance of the reference 6073 in the history of Vacheron Constantin is linked to being one of the first watches equipped with an automatic winding movement, caliber 1019/1, distinguishing itself for its precision and reliability at a time when most watches were manually wound. Additionally, its case boasted a waterproof structure. The most striking example of this model is undoubtedly the reference to the Maltese cross, used as the logo for the lugs, each representing an arm of the Maltese cross, a symbol of Vacheron Constantin.
Watch was a gift by Crown Prince and minister of defense, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, to the military leader of the syrian armed forces, General Jamal Alfaisals (watch was in possession of his son), during his visit on 15th January 1959. Written confirmation by the previous owner enclosed.
