I’m Carlo Biagioli, born on November 13, 1969, and I’ve been practicing law for 35 years. I’ve always been drawn to objects that, like a magnet, command my visual attention. Ever since childhood, I was surrounded by furniture and art, thanks to my grandparents’ collection. At the age of 6, I accidentally broke a precious Chinese vase. In that moment, I truly understood how unique and rare the objects around me were. It was then that I became aware of their value, history, and beauty. By the age of 16, I had already started purchasing art, furniture, fountain pens, and artifacts—each with a special allure. To me, they were beautiful and stirred something within.
For over three decades, I’ve traveled the world, amassing a collection of watches that caught my eye. Every piece has a story to tell, and none of them are ordinary. In my choices, I often found myself ahead of trends, acquiring objects that, though overlooked at the time, would later be recognized as masterpieces.
Now, I’ve decided to sell part of my watch collection, giving others the opportunity to enjoy these rare and hard-to-find treasures. Part of the proceeds will go towards helping those less fortunate than myself.
When you purchase a watch from my collection, you’re acquiring more than just a timepiece—you’re receiving a part of the joy and passion I’ve experienced over the years. The same joy I felt the first time I saw them, and every moment since.
The auction will be held at my office on November 13, 2024, my birthday. There will be 130 lots, and, fittingly, the number 13 has been a recurring theme in my life.
May the best bidder win!
5% of the proceeds from this auction will be donated to a cause close to my heart: the Sidhi Astu Tuka orphanage in Bali, run by Franciscan sisters (http://www.sidhiastutuka.or.id/en/). This incredible place cares for around 40 children, providing them with love, support, and education, despite receiving almost no government assistance.
