A new project by Finarte Watches Department, sharing a collecting influence within an auction catalogue. With the June 2025 sale we are glad to announce our new concept, “12”, a catalogue section that has been conceived and created with a specific theme, each time developed with a collector, antiquarian, enthusiast, “spokesperson” of himself and his vision through our Auction House. This project won’t have necessarily a time frequency, but it will come to life when a connection with a person will be created, and he/she will be cheerful to share a philosophy, through 12 watches selected with a specific and distinctive idea.

The art of miniaturization in watchmaking, the miniaturization as a complication. A selection of tiny metal sculptures which contain a mechanism, with shapes that each time fit the wrist in a unique and surprising way. A selection of Maisons and timepieces, some of them housing the well-known Duoplan movement, which revolutionized watchmaking with a caliber with two superposed horizontal planes, enabling the production of watches of exceptional finesse and design. Queen Elizabeth II wore a Jaeger-LeCoultre wristwatch with Duoplan movement for her coronation in 1953. The 12 section of this catalogue has been created in collaboration with Carlo Biagioli.
