ANALYSIS
Iconic. There are no other words to describe this watch. That rectangular case has literally turned the world of classic watchmaking upside down.
The dial is classic white, has Roman numerals to indicate the hours and has an internal minute track. The Cartier signature is located in the center of the dial at 12 o’clock. The hands are shaped like swords and tempered in a very intense blue.
The case is in solid 18KT yellow gold, measures 28mm x 20mm and is characterized by the geometric rectangular shape of the upper part, anchored to the case back with four screws. At 3 o’clock is the splendid circular crown on top of which is the sapphire cabochon.
The strap is in original leather and is signed Cartier. To finish it there is the classic original pin buckle in solid 18K yellow gold.
The mechanism that animates this extraordinary timepiece is the manual winding Cartier 78-11 with 17 jewels.
