ANALYSIS
This rare watch has its strengths in the exceptionally large case and its beautiful matte black dial with gold graphics made with galvanic technique. Standing out on this composition inside the track-shaped minute track, are the Arabic indexes interspersed with baton indexes both in Radium. It has taken on a beautiful dark ochre color, which matches that of the luminous paste of the large pencil spheres. In the center of the dial at 12 o’clock is the distinctly serif Marvin signature; above the large seconds dial at 6 o’clock is the wording non magnetic, which clearly refers to the anti-magnetic properties of the caliber protected by its steel caseback.
Of notable importance is the 40mm diameter case: a true rarity.
It has a thin profile and simple but functional lines to accommodate in the upper part another element of great beauty and importance: the rotating knurled surface bezel with an arrow-shaped pointer covered in luminescent paste. On the right side is the large original crown in the shape of a flattened onion.
To animate this impressive watch is the caliber 1148 manufactured by Marvin.
